Van Woonwijk naar Leefwijk

The project 'Van Woonwijk naar Leefwijk' is design research into spatial interventions that can support the social programme of district renewal in Groningen. In the research we present new 'healthy' ways of living, in which we connect living, meeting, learning and working with the Selwerd urban nature.

The proposed scenario focuses on demolition and new construction, making it possible to introduce new urban spaces with urban gardens and small-scale building masses as connecting elements in the development strategy. In this way it will be possible to work on the district step by step, by means of pilot and experiment.

About Lilith Ronner van Hooijdonk

The office was founded in 2010 in Rotterdam. We design narrative architecture that tells the story of the assignment at hand. A story with different layers: that of the context, a response to building tradition, the wishes of our client, sustainable applications and technical opportunities. The architecture surprises with imagination. Our work reaches from transformations to public spaces like a Performative Space in Eindhoven, and from building a multi-family house in Amsterdam to researching our practice and writing stories about it.
